19th c. hand-painted Victorian botanical illustration of Carnauba Wax Palm, Rattan, Coquilla nut Palms, Manilla Plantain & Oil Palm. See notes.

Plate 8: (38) Carnauba Palm / Corypha cerifera, Copernicia prunifera (39) Rattan Palm / Calamus (40) Coquilla Palm, Piassava Palm / Attalea funifera (41) Manilla Plantain, Manilla Hemp / Musa textilis (42) Oil Palm / Elaeis guineensis - Sourced from Popular Economic Botany by Thomas Croxen Archer. Pub. Reeve & Co., London. 1858. So no longer in copyright. - Pages of book are foxed (tinted yellow-orange with age) so some desaturation has been applied and levels boosted to lighten. Patina /texture of page and paper fibre still exists should you want this rather than pure white b/ground. Bad paper stains and some printing ink blobs have been removed though there are some very minor paper flecks embedded here and there.
