The tree is a fairly rapid grower when once established, and is perfectly hardy, full- grown specimens standing in Minnesota, where the mercury drops 40 degrees below zero. The tall, slender, yet vigorous growth, silvery white bark, small, gracefully drooping branches, with their delicately cut foliage, combine attractive characteristics.
