The 3M factory in Atherstone, North Warwickshire, England. The factory is due to close in 2024 with a loss of over 150 jobs in the local community. Since 1964, the factory, situated on the border of Leicestershire, has been the sole location where 3M manufacturers coated abrasives. The Ratcliffe Road site also served as the main European hub for the industrial and transportation development laboratory and technical service group.
