Bole Barn at Tystrup old vicarage Chrstiansfeldt Denmark A Bole Barn is a half timbered farm building where the in between wall panels are made in thick two inches oak timber This bole barn is from 1668 and is the largest in Denmark and is standing as when built By royal decree in 1554 and again in 1577 tryed to stop this kind of construction due to the large quantity of oak it required It was common in this southeastern part of Jutland until the 19th century 300 years after banning of this building practice which goes right back to the medieval times
