A medicine chest used on the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-13 Terra Nov expedition of Captain Scott on display at The Polar Museum, Cambridge The medicine chest was manufactured by Burroughs Wellcome & Co. of London and used on the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-13 (Terra Nova). The case contains 10 Bakelite tubes of medicine, a small piece of stone, a packet of 'court plaster', five packets of field dressings, a tube of 'hazeline' cream, a pin cushion with pins, two eye patches, two bandages, a silver case containing hypodermic needles, and a canvas case containing a knife, needles and thread, brush and pipette.
