Introduction The usual method for the determination of tartaric, citricand malic acids in the same solution is a modification of thatproposed by Schmidt and It depends on the precipi-tation of the acids in the form of calcium salts and the separa-tion of these by means of their solubilities in water and separations obtained in this way are far from sharp and theresults are usually unsatisfactory. It is the purpose of the present paper to present some prelim-inary notes on a new method for the determination of malic andtartaric acids in the same solution.
