Anne Frank house and Anne Frank museum and entrance with tourists in lines. Amsterdam Prinsengracht Canal in Spring.

Anne Frank house and Anne Frank museum on the Prinsengracht Canal with the Western Church Tower, Westertoren, in the background. The real Anne Frank House proper is the canal house on Prinsengracht 263. It's the house with the green doors to the left. The museum occupies both the next door number 265 and the new Museum next to that, the modern building on the corner where the entrance is. And where the lines are. The lines have become significantly shorter, since May 1st 2016. Before the lines would go round the corner and sometimes fill the whole square next to the Western Church (Westerkerk). Now the museum will only be open to visitors with an online ticket for a particular time slot: online tickets only from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. From 3:30 PM until closing time tickets can still be bought at the museum entrance. The Westertoren and it's bells come up frequently in The Diary.
