The prisoners captured at Bull Run gen-erally retained their watches, money orjewelry and in the following winterreceived at New Orleans a supply of under-clothing and coats sent from the North bythe Sanitary Connnission and which werefaithfully transmitted by the Confederateauthorities. of the Federal prisoners reachingRichmond in the summer of 1861 weresent to New-Bern, N.
