Spectral tarsier (Tarsius tarsier) on a rainforest plant. This primate is found only in Indonesia. It is crepuscular (active at twilight) and nocturnal. This tarsier is considered to be the most primitive of the modern tarsiers, lacking the adhesive toes common to other species. They also have the largest eye to body-size ratio of all mammals. Tarsiers are carnivorous, primarily feeding on insects. Photographed in Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
