A Japanese sentoku tsuba, Edo period, circa 1830 Rectangular sentoku tsuba with rounded corners, the obverse with a curtain for a Gagaku stage, in the background a drum for Kangen music, surmounted by a maple branch, at back a ritual cap, drumsticks and falling maple leaves, inscribed "... Katsurioken Masayoshi". Diameter 9 cm. In gold embossed case lined with purple velvet, old collection label at back.
