Two mounted knights in tournament colours for an Italian course (left) and a German joust (right). The Italian courser is draped in black and white colors, with a horse cape decorated with cockerels and a woman with shield. His lance has a three pronged coronet and a ribbon. The German jouster has dramatic white plumes on his helmet, a black and silver striped horse cape, and a pointed metal lance tip.
