Shiva and Parviti on Nandi. Shiva sits in lalitasana with his green complexioned consort seated on his left thigh. In his upper right hand Shiva holds the damaru (hourglass shaped drum) and in his upper left the mriga (gazelle). His lower right hand is in abhaya mudra and his lower left arm encircles Parviti’s waist, while his lower left hand is in varada mudra. Nandi turns his head towards his lord in adoration. Two dark-complexioned ganas, bearing fly-whisks, flank the divine pair.
