Children safely playing in a closed to traffic street in Bristol as part of the Playing Out project.
Playing Out is a not for profit scheme that wants to make residential streets safer for children to play in. Starting in Bristol in 2009 Bristol city council offered residents the opportunity to apply to temporary allow roads to be closed to through traffic for up to three hours a week. The scheme has now spread to over 30 local authorities across England with over 100 street regularly playing out.
