Ornate pink neo-Baroque facade Wenceslas Square Prague Czech Republic eastern Europe


This pink building at no 19 Wenceslas Square is the former house of Polish culture and is built in a neo-Baroque style. Wenceslas Square is home to a number of art nouveau buildings. The 750 metres long and 60 metres wide square was laid out over 600 years ago during the reign of Charles 1V. It was originally used as the Prague horse market. Named after St Wenceslas the patron saint of Bohemia the square is also part of a World Heritage Site.
