Recruits from Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, conduct counter to the rear hand blocks during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, July 20. The recruits learned offensive and defensive techniques throughout recruit training, and the test evaluated how well they retained all of the information. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 12.
