The Casino, owned by the Traction companybut leased, is a pleasure resort on Lake Erie, miles from thepower house, and has two No. 00 wires that carry alternating cur-rent at 2,000 volts for lighting. This current is generated at 1,000vcJts and raised in step-up transformers to 2,000. Rather an interesting feature of the system is the booster usedfor the railway line to the Casino. This is a loo-kw., 135-voIt, belt-driven lighting machine which is run as a booster during the Ca-sino season; the shunt fields are removed and series fields, wouijdfor the purpose, put on instead. At the end of the season the oldfields are replaced and the machine used for lighting during thewinter. A series of readings taken
