This very distinct and valuable variety hails from Washington County, N. Y. It is of a peculiar shape, being unlike any other; it is oval and tapers toward each end. It is of a creamy color both inside and out. The vines are very hardy and prolific. It is early and keeps late. Its chief value is for "Pumpkin ; Being fine-grained and rich-flavored, it makes a superior quality of pies. By being stored in a warm, dry place, the pumpkins can be preserved until late in winter.
