VR nerve agent molecule. VR is a Russian variant of the thiophosphonate nerve agent VX (venomous agent). It is a weapon of mass destruction outlawed by the Chemical Weapons Convention of 1993. Agent VR is the forerunner of the Novichok agents. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), oxygen (red), nitrogen (blue), phosphorus (orange) and sulphur (yellow).
