Mareit is an ideal starting point for comfortable walks as well as innumerable hiking tours. Above Mareit the castle “Wolfsthurn” is enthroned – a true sight worth seeing. Inside the castle, you will find the museum of catching and fishing. The historian Joh. Nep. Tinkhauser (1828) described it as the “most beautiful castle in Tyrol”.
