Black Lives Matter protest in Bristol, England, UK, Sunday 7 June 2020. Thousands of people joined the protests of the death of George Floyd beginning at College Green with talks, then peacefully walking through city centre and end at Castle Park. The protest was both commemorating the death of George Floyd, protesting against police actions in the USA and in Britain. Most wore face covering, people were respectful of social distancing though not always possible. The police kept a low presence after closing many roads through the central Bristol. Protesters tore down a statue of Edward Colston who was both a slave trader and Bristol philanthropist from its plinth in city centre.
