A Greek muscled cuirass,5th/4th century Bronze. Breastplate shaped with anatomical details,inset nipples,the navel in relief,neck and arm cutouts with flanged edges,thickened lower rim,fragments of decorative sheet bronze on the sides with chased vine decoration. Three reserved attachment rings and holes for hinges and interior lining. Height 48 cm. The backplate worked en suite but somewhat simpler,retaining two fastening rings,Reddish brown to blue-green patina,deformed,mineralised,additions. The interior has been stabilised with fibreglass.
