Pratt,formerly the Essex Division road master, and latterly superin-tendent of the Roseville, South Orange and Maplewood divisions ofthe corporations lines. Mr. O. P. Coe has been named as successorto Mr. Pratt. Mr. Coe was formerly air brake instructor of thecompany. FOLLOWING THE PURCHASE of the Camden & SuburbanRailway, of Camden, N. J., by the Public Service Corporation of _^ New Jersey, noted in the Street Railway Journal afew weeks ago, comes the an-. nouncement by President Mc-Carter, of the latter company,of the appointment of E. Harrington as gen-eral manager of the Camden &Suburban Company to succeedhimself, and of Mr. Samuel as secretary of the com-pany. Mr. Harrington hasacted as general manager ofthe Camden & Suburban Rail-way since 1896. Under himthe entire system has beenalmost entirely rebuilt, anda most efficient operatingforce has been organized. Mr. Harrington was born inWILLIAM E. HARRINGTON Wilkesbarre. June 3, 1866, and graduated from the Uni-versity of Pennsylvania, with the degree of B. S. in 1887. He is amember of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, and ofthe Franklin Institute of Philadelphia, and has presented papers onengineering subjects before various technical bodies, including theAmerican Street Railway Association, in which his interest is keen.
