Likewise, a gastric filling defect witha palpable tumor is reported by us as can-cer, because experience has shown that 95per cent of such tumors are cancers, and theempirical element in the diagnosis is thor-oughly comprehended by all concerned. A lack of caution inthis respect adds to the doubt of those whoview roentgen diagnosis with skepticism.
