In doing this, however, I have endeavouredto make the present work quite distinct from itspredecessor, as may be seen by comparing the two;and those who are not fortunate enough to possess acopy of *^A History of British Mollusca and theirShells,^ and who can afibrd the money for its purchase,will not regret the expenditure.
