After sub-zero overnight temperatures, members of the Frensham Aquatic Recreational Team (FARTs) clear ice from the surface of Frensham Great Pond near Farnham Surrey, before braving the water for eight and a half minutes. The newly formed group swim in the lake two or three times each week, and this is the first time they have had to break the ice before their morning dip. "It makes you feel euphoric for the day - although you do shake for a while when it is this cold.
