The outflow from Loch Tarf passes this rather gnarled old birch tree as it heads oast Carn na Dreamaig and onto Allt Doe before finishing it's journey in the nearby Loch Ness. I spotted this scene on the way back from Whitebridge to Fort Augustus this afternoon and thought it would make a more interesting composition than the usual shot from Suidhe Chuimein on the B862 where the masses were gathered to take photographs of their cars, motorbikes and each other!
