Sofie with her daughter Kirstine in the demonstration against the banning of breast-feeding mothers by more and more restaurants and cafés in Denmark announced on Facebook by a blogging mum, Trine Marie Larsen, gathered hundreds of mums, dads, and supporters in a one hour demo at the City Hall Square in Copenhagen. The equality minister is not prepared to legislate to force cafés, restaurants, etc. to allow women to breast-feed, The trade organisation has reacted against such a legislation as it should be left to the restaurants to allow this.

Many organisations support the right to breast-feed publicly, for example the Midwives Organisation and Parents and Birth, also taking part in today's demo. Sofie, mother of the little girl Kirstine, finds it important to demonstrate against the tendencies in our society going in the wrong direction. Breast-feeding is not an indecent exposure, but a right for any baby mum.
