A pair of percussion pistols, Boutet in Versailles, circa 1800. Octagonal barrels, lightly constricted in the middle. Bores with fine micro-groove rifling in 13 mm calibre. Signature, "Boutet Directeur Artiste * 61- Manufacture à Versailles". Converted flintlocks with additional signatures. Double set triggers. Walnut full stocks with fine checkering. The backs of the grips are inlaid with silver stars. Lightly engraved iron furniture. Horn ramrods, (one with signs of insect damage). Length of each 36 cm.
