Crownstone Marker along Mason-Dixon Line


Crownstone marker along the Mason-Dixon Line from 1764. The line was created by Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon to resolve a border dispute between British colonies in Colonial America. It symbolized a cultural boundary between the Northeastern United States and the Southern United States. This photograph was taken in February, 1964.
