The Palatoquadrate of PRISTERODON The ossified palatoquadrate of Pristerodon buffaloensis is represented by the separated epipterygoid and the quadrate (figs. 1 and 4). Viewed laterally the epipterygoid is L-shaped, with both the vertical and the horizontal limbs well developed. The vertical limb (or columella cranii) is relatively thin and extends upward and slightly forward to meet a ventrally extending ridge originating PILA ANTOTICA PROOTIC. QUADRATOJJOA,. Fig. 1.
