Venice, September 2021. Men at work to install a glass barrier to defend the Basilica di San Marco from the "acqua alta". Saltwater hurts the church's marble columns, floors and mosaics, but the MOSE barrier-system that was installed to protect Venice from "acqua alta", is not effective to prevent high water from entering the Basilica. The project involves the construction of a glass wall around the church, 130cm. high from the ground.
