Ancient hospital ruins. Ruins of the Asclepion of Kos, a 4th century temple for the worship of Aesclepius, the Greek god of healing, health and medicine. It was used by Hippocrates to practise medicine and is the site where he set up his medical school. As such, it is considered by historians as the world's first hospital.
