The Winter Nelis holds, in our estimation, nearly the same rank amonaf agnter pears, that the Seckel does am^g the au- tumnal varieties. ^ It is a very hardy and thrifty tree, and bears , regular crops of pears which always ripen well, and in succes- sion. Branches diverging, rather slender, light olive. It is a Flemisli pear, and was originated by M.
