Osteosarcoma cells. Immunofluorescence light micrograph of human osteosarcoma cells stained to show cell proteins and organelles. The stains used here have highlighted the intracellular structural protein actin (green), the endoplasmic ribosome sugar-binding protein concanavalin A, and the large ribosomal P0 protein (blue, cytoplasmic and in nucleoli). Osteosarcoma is a type of bone cancer. This culture was grown with mouse fibroblast cells. Magnification: x1030 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
