Dolceacqua old town on the river Nervia in the Province of Imperia in the region of Liguria., Italy. Dolceacqua is one of the most scenic medieval villages in Liguria. The town is located on both sides of the "Narvia" river, which separates the medieval part with the Doria Castle at the top, from the part of the village built in the 19th and 20th centuries. Both parts of the village are connected by a spectacular stone bridge from the 15th century. The famous French impressionist Claude Monet painted this bridgeas as he called it. "Jewel of Lightness",
