A copper-coloured Gimlet Tree shines beautifully as the sunsets on Niagara Dam in Western Australia.

Gimlet. Gimlet is a small to medium-sized tree up to 20 m, with a distinctive fluted, copper-coloured stem with young bark. With summer, the smooth, shiny copper-coloured bark fades to grey-brown. The species has a wide distribution in the central and southern Goldfields, and in the northern Wheatbelt to Mullewa.
