This is alarger number ofcattle than anyother nation canshow, India having but 30,000,000, and Russia 24,609,260. Wehave 13>537*534 horses, being surpassed in this respect only byRussia, which has 19,683,340. We come fourth in the hst of sheep-raising nations, having only 43,883,065; but in the food-producinganimals, cattle and hogs, our country leads the world.
