RED SEA (May 1, 2017) The guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103) escorts the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50). Truxtun is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
