Armed with a hardcopy of the photo on the left in hand, I wanted to find the place depicted in the picture and take a photo as it is today, from the same angle. The little girl in the doorway watching the procession pass by is my mother when she was young; the lady in the balcony is my grandmother. While walking on that pavement on that side of the road, I easily missed the spot the first time round. I then spotted the place as soon as I arrived back up in St John Str corner with Bakery exact spot from where the original photo was taken.
