A deluxe percussion over-and-under rifle-shotgun from the possessions of Leopold II, Franz Bartusch in Vienna, circa 1850/60. Blued Damascus barrels, the seven-groove rifle barrel in 15 mm calibre, the shotgun barrel in 17 mm calibre. The signature, "Franz Bartusch in Wien" is inlaid in gold on the breech. The root of the barrel displays gold and silver wave decoration. The snail is beautifully cut in the shape of dolphins in half relief amid vine decoration. The tang chiselled with figural motifs.
