He is also a member of MerrimackRiver grange, but as yet has not found time to get married; how-ever he is one of the youngest of the merchants and will doubt-less find time to attend to that part of his duties later on. represented his native town in the New Hampshirelegislature in the session of 1899, being the youngest representa-tive ever sent from that town, and one of the youngest in thewhole Fred. H. Blanchard. In the autumn of 1900 Mr. Blanchard moved his business tothe new store in the lower story of the Little block, which hadbeen entirely rebuilt and refitted for his use. This new store con-tains all the modern improvements and appliances for carrying onthe meat and provision business, and is a very long step inadvance of anything in that line previously seen in the village, infact, the establishment would be a credit to any city in our state. Mr. Blanchard is a Republican in politics, and his religiousaffiliations are with the Congregational church. 476 HISTORY OF PENACOOK.
