Staff Sgt. Skyler Smith, assigned to 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, participated in the annual 4th Inf. Div. Best Ranger competition, completing a 11-meter ball toss as part of the non-standardized physical training event on Dec. 13, 2022, Fort Carson, Colorado. The competition challenges competitors to represent the 4th Inf. Div. to prepare for the Army's Best Ranger competition, during maximum effort events to identify the most physically capable, technically sound, tactically proficient and fit Soldier.
