A North Italian bill (roncone), 1st half of 16th century. Sturdy blade with a slightly ridged spike and double-edged hook, rear fluke and a pair of short basal lugs. The blade with punched decorations of wavy bands and flowers. Rectangular, slightly tapered socket with two short straps. Original(?) octagonal haft becoming round (shortened).
