This was formerlydone by sawing or filing, but morerecently there has been invented,by Dr. Lancer, a leading veterinarysurgeon of New Jersey, a very in-genious instrument for chippingoff the teeth, so that the front nip-pers can be cut down very quicklyand easily by any amateur.
