Both teams havesplendid batteries; Armit and Ains-worth for the Phi Delts, and Peter-son and Cannon for the Phi Gams; andthe game practically resolved itself intoa battle between the batteries. Thefirst two innings went by without a runon either side; the third inning the PhiGams managed to corner a couple ofscores and the fourth was marked bythe single event of a home run by TomBrown. Nobody was on bases so thefifth started with the Phi Gams leadingby a three to nothing score. Butwhatever hopes the Phi Gams mayhave had at the first of this inning van-ished by the last.
