NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (Nov. 18, 2014) - Fire Controlman 2nd Class Chris Joris, of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, cuddles with his 4-month old son Cooper, following the return of USS Ross (DDG 71) to Naval Station Rota after its patrol since being forward-deployed to Europe. Ross, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer forward deployed in Rota Spain, returned from conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
