Martin Sonneborn at an appearance during the Cologne literature festival at the Volksbühne am Rudolfplatz. Sonneborn is a German satirist, journalist and politician. He was elected as a Member of the European Parliament in the 2014 European elections as the lead candidate of the Party for Labour, the Rule of Law, Animal Welfare, the Advancement of Elites and Grassroots Democracy (Die PARTEI), of which he is the national chairman, and re-entered Parliament in 2019.
