Derrick, Itwas a significant and w ell-merited tributeto his many excellences that Dr. Derrickwas elected on the first ballot. Of the 319votes cast, 204 were given to him, forty-three more than were necessary to a Derrick is evidently a popular manamong his brethren, and he enters uponhis Episcopal duties with the the mostcordial wishes for the success of his new-career.
