The Taunton short line leads over the old Boston the Green at Taunton {Taunton Inn) the first Union andLiberty flag was unfurled. The early settlers hene were fromthe iron district of Wales—the swamps hereabout were full ofbog iron—result: a city that for over two centuries has doneiron-working in all its forms. Rehoboth, our next stop, is a most remarkable little town, andonce came within one vote of being made state capital!
