Hart's tongue fern growing on an old stone wall.

Asplenium scolopendrium or Hart's Tongue fern grows in shady damp spots on lime rich or neutral substrates like old stone walls. The leaves or fronds of this species are undivided, thick and glossy. Their tongue shape gives the common name:a hart is a mature male red deer.
